Legends of Eris
Rah’Ama is a god of Eris. He is the God of Mercy and Sacrifice, and his epithet is the Wounded Savior. His symbol is a sheathed sword.
In order to save the tormented souls of the afterworld, Rah’Ama travels into the dark realms of Tartarus to free those who are penitent and cry out for freedom. Every time he makes this journey, he is able to save a thousand souls. However, he is inevitably overcome by demons and slain in his attempt. Rah’Ama remains dead for ten years before rising again. When he rises, he once again continues his labors, and the process repeats itself.
Though he is a popular figure of worship for adventuring clerics and paladins, Rah’Ama is unable to respond directly to prayer, due to his time spent alternatively fighting or dead. Instead, his followers are imbued with a “divine spark”— a small piece of his essence. When his followers pray to him, this internal light will offer them power and guidance.
