Legends of Eris
A’Shamasa is one of the gods of Eris. His epithet is The Phoenix King, and his representative animal is the phoenix.
According to legend, he was slain on the mountain that became the site of the city of Sun’s Peak, only to rise again. However, some dispute this claim. Cornelius, a gnome inventor from Sun’s Peak, claims that A’Shamasa actually fell in the lands to the south, where the Lost City of the Chronos was found.
Once every decade, the sun sets for a full week. During this time, the people believe that a festival honoring the Phoenix King must be held, or else the sun will never rise again. The festival lasts for a month.
